nordfen in action

01

Bring your controller and your team

We integrate your remote controls, your aircraft and your procedures into the simulation, and generate the digital twin of your own area of operations from real geodata.

02

Fuse the environment

Elevation, structures, vegetation and weather become one live environment. Teams recognise the ground before they ever fly over it.

03

Train the mission

Pilot and spotter fly the scenarios live training cannot cover: night operations, GNSS loss, gusts over hard terrain, no-fly zones, multi-agency response.

04

Measure and debrief

Every session produces structured data: inputs, coverage, decisions. Progress you can see, proficiency you can document.

Five hours of live training.
Done in 20 minutes.

In a typical five-hour live training block, a team logs about 20 minutes at the controls. The rest is travel, briefing, airspace and waiting for weather.

0×
More time at the controls
Every training block turns into flight hours instead of waiting, briefing and travel.
0
Clearances, weather windows, fuel
No airspace requests, no cancelled exercises, no wear on the airframe.
0/7
Training capacity, on site
Available at every base, day and night, at a fraction of the cost per hour.

From drone enthusiast
to certified mission pilot.

Whatever experience your operators bring, they reach your mission standard in 50 days.

Measured across 5 teams in our FPV skills training programme

First hours without risk

New operators fly their first hours in simulation, before they touch the real airframe. A mistake costs nothing and teaches everything.

Train the untrainable

Night over a city where a third of the airspace is closed. A lost GNSS fix in a valley. A vehicle moving under the aircraft. The situations teams meet on real missions and can hardly ever rehearse.

Whole-team communication

Pilot, spotter and command train together. The radio calls, the handovers, the decisions under pressure, drilled as one team.

Certify with evidence

Repeatable scenarios, structured debriefs and logged proficiency. A certificate that stands on documented hours, not on a good day at the range.

Advantages of our
training solution

Measurement

Every session produces structured training data: inputs, coverage, decisions. Proficiency and currency you can document to command and oversight.

Scalability

From one team to a national programme, without new airspace, ranges or fuel. Standardised training at every site, on your own terrain.

Sovereignty

Runs inside your infrastructure with no cloud dependency. Your terrain, your data, your training. It stays yours.

Certification

Repeatable curricula, logged hours and scenario results give your certification process a documented basis. Proficiency you can show, not just assert.

We are building the virtual training layer for human operators and unmanned systems. Drone programmes are scaling faster than the people and the autonomy inside them can be trained.

Bring your environment to a training solution.

Join us.

We want to solve the biggest problems emergency services and the armed forces face, and we build virtual training so they go into every mission better prepared. We are nine people today and are looking for more, on site in Zürich or Riga, with very different experience. Maybe you have been on security or rescue missions yourself. Maybe you come from level design, game design or engineering, or have already worked with public institutions.

We do not keep a public list of roles. Tell us in a few lines what you do and what interests you about nordfen. Examples of your work are welcome.

When you join us

  • You solve real problems for emergency services and the armed forces
  • You and your team decide how you spend your time

We welcome applications from everyone.

What this website does not do

This website has no user accounts, no login, no contact form and no comment function. It runs no advertising pixels and no third party tracking. We do not profile visitors and we do not sell or pass on data for marketing purposes.

Cookies and local storage

We set no advertising or tracking cookies. The only thing this site stores in your browser is your answer to the cookie notice, under the key nordfen.consent in local storage, so that we do not ask you again on every visit. This entry contains the value "accepted" or "declined" and nothing else. You can delete it at any time through your browser settings.

If you decline, nothing beyond that entry is stored, and from then on your visits are not counted in the visitor statistics described below. If you delete the entry, the cookie notice appears again on your next visit.

Visitor statistics

We count visits with Umami, an open source analytics tool that we run on our own servers. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. For each page you view, it records the address and title of the page, the website you came from, your browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language, and the country, region and city derived from your IP address. To tell visits apart, Umami derives a code from your IP address and browser that changes every month. The IP address itself is not stored in the statistics, so you are not recognised from one month to the next and no profile is built. Like any web server, the server that runs Umami records IP addresses in its access logs, which we use only to keep the service secure. The statistics stay with us and are not passed on. It also counts clicks on the demo, contact, application and LinkedIn links and on the film button, and where on the page they happened. We use the statistics only to see which pages are read, which of these links are used and how visitors find us. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in knowing how our website is used. You can object at any time by declining the cookie notice, as described above.

Hosting and server logs

Our hosting provider records standard server log data such as IP address, time of access, the page requested, referrer and browser identification. This is technically necessary to deliver the page and to keep the service secure. The data is not merged with other sources and is deleted after a short retention period at the provider.

Contact by email

If you write to us, we process your email address, your name and the content of your message in order to answer it. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and, where a contract is being prepared, the performance of pre-contractual measures. We keep business correspondence for as long as required by Swiss commercial law.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:
